• Employment Type: StaffSummaryThe Surgical Assistant will function independently with surgeons, applying knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon in the surgical treatment of the patient. This role will work under the supervision of the surgeon and registered nurse, performing duties as a surgical scrub technician when not assisting the surgeon. The successful candidate will comply with the objectives and policies of the hospital and with surgical services standards of care.Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge and adherence of monitoring and compliance with all regulatory and licensing agencies, including TJC, OSHA, AHCA, CMS, etc. Performs similar duties in other areas of the hospital as assigned and per hospital policies and procedures.The Hospitals of Providence is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
